Simon Jones

Simon Jones obtained Bachelor and Doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University. He spent the following 15 months at Delphi Diesel Systems, where he was quickly promoted to lead analyst on a $1 billion project, leading and directing the analysis on heavy-duty common-rail diesel injection equipment. Simon joined Dr J H Burgoyne and Partners as an Associate in 2006 and is based in the firm’s London office.

Since joining Burgoynes Simon has been continuously engaged in the investigation of incidents of mechanical failures and personal injuries. Engineering incidents investigated include, accidents involving lifts and cranes, hydraulic system failures, defective design, structural collapse, and fatigue and corrosion failures. Personal injuries investigated have included trips/falls, accidents involving power tools, and accidents involving lifting equipment.
