David Bailey

David Bailey is a Principal Member and has been employed by Burgoynes since February 1992 being based in the Midlands Office throughout that time. Previously he worked in the chemical industry for 16 years. David’s main area of work is the investigation of fires, explosions and other incidents. Since joining Burgoynes he has undertaken well over 900 such investigations both in the UK, Europe and Asia.

The fire/explosion investigations he has dealt with have involved residential/commercial buildings, ships, luxury yachts, motor vehicles and aircraft. In addition he has used his electrical engineering expertise to investigate the failure of electrical and electronic equipment and incidents where people have been electrocuted or suffered serious injury due to an electric shock. Several of his investigations have required him to attend court in order to give expert testimony.
