Experience:

Darren worked for a consulting forensic engineering firm and as a postdoctoral fellow at University of Dublin, Trinity College before joining Burgoynes in 2003. He became a Partner in 2010.

Darren specialises in the reconstruction of road traffic incidents and product failures, and has investigated over 1000 cases to date.

He has a particular interest in vehicle-pedestrian collisions and vehicle-motorcycle collisions, and has collaborated in publishing a number of peer-reviewed papers in international journals, including the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and the International Journal of Crashworthiness. He has also been accepted as an expert in both civil and criminal courts, and at Coroners’ Courts, and he regularly attends court to give expert testimony. Darren has undertaken investigations in several European countries and in countries outside the EU.
