Experience:
James completed his Engineering Doctorate, focusing on superalloy materials used in jet aero-engines, in 2011. He then worked at Rolls-Royce investigating in-service events on aero jet engines for 2 years before joining Burgoynes in 2012.
Since joining Burgoynes, James has investigated numerous cases involving engineering component failures and fracture analysis. Investigations to date include domestic and commercial water escapes, fuel oil escapes, thermally induced failures, defective manufacture, structural collapse and environmental assisted cracking of polymers.
