Experience:

Mark spent 2 years working in the water industry and 2 years in the manufacturing industry, both of which contributed to his electrical maintenance apprenticeship. After qualifying as an electrician, he spent a further 2 years in the manufacturing industry as a Test Technician, before studying for his degree.

Mark then joined Kvaerner John Brown, spending 2 years working on large petro-chemical design projects and undertaking a short overseas placement in an engineering support role on a construction site. He then joined Brown & Root as a Senior Electrical Engineer and gained a further 2 years design experience within the oil and gas industry. This included an overseas placement in the Middle East on a construction project and many visits to offshore oil and gas producing platforms to provide technical support.

Mark joined Burgoynes in 2000 and became a Partner in 2008. Since joining Burgoynes, Mark has been continuously engaged in the investigation of fires, explosions and incidents of electrical failures. He has undertaken over 2000 investigations and has been required to attend criminal, civil and Coroners’ Courts to provide expert testimony. During his time with Burgoynes, he has investigated many cases in the UK and incidents in several European countries and internationally.
