Experience:
Ron worked for Howden UK for 11 years, specialising in the design and performance testing of rotary regenerative heat exchangers and centrifugal fans for the power and process industries. In these roles, Ron gained experience in heat transfer, combustion analysis, fluid dynamics and static structural analysis.
Since joining Burgoynes in 2007, Ron has investigated over 900 incidents involving fires, explosions, mechanical failures, fatal accidents and personal injury claims. These incidents have involved a variety of commercial, industrial and domestic premises and vehicles, both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Ron’s investigation experience includes fires involving domestic and industrial equipment, explosions involving gas installations, boiling liquid expanding vapour explosions (BLEVE), failures in storage tanks, vehicle bearing and other component failures, building structures and hydraulic systems.
Ron has given expert evidence in fatal accident inquiries and both civil and criminal courts.
