Burgoynes’ Business Development Manager Debbie Tibber was diagnosed with MS at the start of this year.  The news was a shock to her at first, but because of the care and support Debbie received from the MS team during the early stages of her diagnosis, she wanted to give something back to the seriously understaffed MS team.  As a non-runner, Debbie set herself the challenge to complete a 25km run within a month over the summer.  Debbie started her first run on 22nd July 2019 and she completed the distance on 13th August 2019.

The challenge was tough at times for Debbie, as she was having to deal with the extreme reactions caused by some of her medications, but she battled on and completed the challenge.  Well done Debbie!

All of the sponsorship funds Debbie raised went towards the MS Trust, which is completely funded by donations.  The sum raised will fund the training of two more MS specialist nurses, who help an average of 350 patients a year and who can make a real difference to the support available to those with MS.
