Jim Mercurio and Nick Coogan from our Dubai office took part in the 34th Marine Community Golf Tournament on Sunday 8 November 2020, which was held at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club.  Despite the pandemic, there were over 100 players in the field and, whilst the event was “socially distanced”, there was still much fun to be had both on and off the course and an uncharacteristic rain storm mid-round could not dampen the players' spirits.  The numerous event sponsors kindly provided on-course refreshments and organised a collection of amusing mini-games on the tee boxes, including the rather tricky blind-folded putting, and the event was wrapped up with a prize presentation and dinner at the nearby Park Hyatt hotel.  Unfortunately, Jim and Nick were unable to steer their respective teams into the prizes this year but they both had a great day out and enjoyed meeting other people working in the marine industry in the Middle East region and further afield.
