On 10th November 2021, Frank Anderson, a Partner at our Kenilworth office, was invited as a guest speaker to South Shields Marine School to deliver a talk to students and staff on the topic, ‘Forensic Engineering: Machinery Space Fires and Engineering Failures’.

The presentation covered the reasons why incidents are investigated, the investigation methodology and the causes and prevention of incidents in machinery spaces.  Frank also presented several case studies on machinery space fires and engineering failures in the marine environment.

The talk was well received by the students and staff, who found it engaging and fascinating.
