Burgoynes is delighted to announce that Sarah Willacy and Hannah Lonergan were promoted to Partner on 1 April 2026.   

Sarah, based in our Manchester office, has a background in forensic science and combustion engineering, and she investigates fires and explosions.  Sarah has acted as an expert witness for incidents in the UK, Europe and Asia.

Hannah, based in Glasgow, is a chemist who investigates fire and explosions, and also specialises in contamination assessments following fires and other incidents.  Hannah has attended marine casualties in various territories and has undertaken two secondments working from our Singapore office.
